Source & Verification Policy
How we ensure every government service listed on this portal is authoritative, current, and verified against authentic domains.
1. Authoritative Source-of-Truth Policy
We strictly prioritize Tier-1 Government sources. Candidate services are cataloged only if their origin belongs to:
- Central Government Domains:Top-level domains ending in .gov.in and .nic.in (e.g. UIDAI, Income Tax, MEA, ECI, Parivahan, EPFO, GSTN, NSP).
- State & UT Portals:Designated state single-window portals and department web applications under state subdomains (e.g. karnataka.gov.in, maharashtra.gov.in, tn.gov.in).
2. Data Review & Publishing Lifecycle
Automated crawlers never publish directly to production. Every service record must transition through a rigorous multi-stage review pipeline:
Records with conflicting information across circulars or temporary endpoint downtime are flagged as NEEDS_REVIEW and held in the internal maintainer queue until a human reviewer verifies the circular.
3. Continuous Link Health & Content Change Monitoring
Asynchronous background workers periodically check HTTP status, SSL certificate validity, redirection chains, and response latency. Temporary server timeouts are distinguished from broken links to avoid false alarms.
Monitored source pages are hashed (sha256). When a government ministry updates eligibility rules or fees, a change alert is generated for maintainer re-verification.
4. Community Inaccuracy Reporting
Every service detail page includes a Report Incorrect Info button. Citizens and officers can report broken links, fee changes, or translation errors directly into our maintainer triage queue.
