What this service does
National driving licence portal allowing motorists across all 36 States and UTs to apply for Driving Licence renewal, duplicate DL, international permit, and address change using contactless Aadhaar authentication.
Who can use it / Eligibility
Any holder of an existing Indian Driving Licence approaching expiry (within 1 year before/after expiry date) or requiring replacement/corrections.

How it works (Step-by-Step)
- 1Go to sarathi.parivahan.gov.in and choose your State/UT.
- 2Click on 'Apply for DL Renewal' or 'Services on DL'.
- 3Enter your Driving Licence Number and Date of Birth.
- 4Authenticate with Aadhaar e-KYC for faceless online processing without visiting the RTO.
- 5Upload Form 1-A medical fitness certificate (if age 40+), pay the statutory fee online, and track speed post dispatch.
Non-Aadhaar users can visit the local Regional Transport Office (RTO) with original DL and medical certificate.
