What this service does
Official portal for foreign nationals of Indian origin and foreign spouses of Indian citizens to obtain lifelong visa-free travel and multipurpose residency benefits through OCI registration.
Who can use it / Eligibility
Foreign citizens who were eligible to become citizens of India on 26 Jan 1950, or children/grandchildren/great-grandchildren of such citizens (excluding Pakistan/Bangladesh).

How it works (Step-by-Step)
- 1Visit ociservices.gov.in and click 'New OCI Registration'.
- 2Fill in Part A (personal and passport info) and Part B (family background and relationships).
- 3Upload digital photo, signature, and relationship/Indian origin proofs.
- 4Submit online application to generate web reference number.
- 5Book appointment and submit hard copies with original passport at the designated Indian Mission abroad or FRRO office in India.
Original document verification and biometric submission at Indian Embassy / VFS / FRRO.
