What this service does

Official national tax platform for Indian businesses to register under the Goods and Services Tax Act, generate 15-digit GSTIN, file monthly/quarterly returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-4, GSTR-9), create electronic tax challans, and file refund claims.

Who can use it / Eligibility

Businesses with annual aggregate turnover exceeding statutory threshold (₹40 Lakhs for goods / ₹20 Lakhs for services in standard states; ₹20L / ₹10L in Special Category states). Mandatory for all inter-state suppliers and e-commerce sellers regardless of turnover.

How it works (Step-by-Step)

    Access the official GST Portal at https://www.gst.gov.in/ and click 'Services' > 'Registration' > 'New Registration'.

    Fill Part-A of Form GST REG-01 with PAN, email ID, and mobile number to generate Temporary Reference Number (TRN).

    Login with TRN and complete Part-B covering Business Details, Promoters, Authorized Signatories, and Place of Business.

    Upload mandatory scanned documents (JPEG/PDF).

    Opt for Aadhaar authentication of primary authorized signatory.

    Submit with Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) for companies/LLPs or EVC (Aadhaar OTP) for proprietorships.
