What you'll need (Documents Required)
- 1Visitor Government Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar / Voter ID / Driving Licence)
- 2Visitor Mobile Number and Email ID for OTP verification
- 3Inmate details: Name, Father's Name, and Prisoner Number / Ward
- 4Relationship proof with the inmate (Ration Card / Marriage Certificate / Birth Certificate)
How it works (Step-by-Step)
- 1Go to eprisons.nic.in and click on 'e-Mulakat' / 'New Visit Registration'.
- 2Enter visitor personal details, identity proof details, and upload photo ID proof.
- 3Select State, Jail Name, and enter inmate name and father's name.
- 4Choose visit type (Physical Visit or Video Conference e-Mulakat) and preferred date slot.
- 5Receive Visit Reference Number via SMS and present confirmation with original ID proof at the jail entrance.
