What this service does

Official Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) service for online issuance of the mandatory 10-digit PAN-based Importer-Exporter Code (IEC) required for commercial export and import of goods and services.

Any proprietorship, partnership, LLP, private limited company, or trust engaging in commercial import/export trade.

How it works (Step-by-Step)

    Visit the DGFT portal at dgft.gov.in and register as an 'Importer/Exporter'.

    Login and click on 'Services' -> 'IEC Profile Management' -> 'Apply for IEC'.

    Enter entity details, branch addresses, and bank account information.

    Upload cancelled cheque / bank certificate and address proof.
  5. 5
    Sign the application via Aadhaar e-Sign or Digital Signature Certificate (DSC), pay ₹500 fee online, and download your e-IEC certificate immediately.
